Updates to Residential and Commercial Building Energy Codes — 2019 Vermont Code update, encompassing Commercial and Residential Building Energy Code and stretch code. Per the Vermont Comprehensive Energy Plan guidance, this is the first code update to incorporate a stepped pathway to achieving “net zero by design” in 2030 for all new construction. The Scope of Work entails measure identification and selection, editing and developing code language, updating the Vermont Residential Handbook, offering and overseeing stakeholder involvement, assisting in the regulatory rulemaking process, providing trainings and ensuring energy tools (REScheck and COMcheck) are available.
