North Carolina Energy Policy Task Force – Technical Advisory Subcommittee Modeling

The North Carolina Governor's Office is performing stakeholder-driven modeling to inform North Carolina's energy planning, as mandated by state executive order. EFG is leading project execution and modeling, including scenario analysis and sensitivity testing informed by a broad array of state stakeholders.

Chelsea specializes in grid modeling using integrated resource planning and resource adequacy tools.

Carlos Peña

Carlos Peña is an electrical engineer and researcher with knowledge in renewable energy systems, microgrid design, and energy resilience. He focuses on agent-based modeling, solar energy integration with battery energy storage systems and demand side management (DSM). He has contributed to advancing distributed solar energy solutions and energy justice, with experience in both academic research and industry applications.

Jim Grevatt

Jim brings over 25 years’ experience as a leadership professional in energy efficiency program operations to his consulting practice.

Nina Peluso

Nina is an experienced energy policy practitioner, operations leader, and systems modeler. At EFG, she supports resource planning, ratemaking, and siting cases, among others.
