We are thrilled to announce that the staff of Sommer Energy, LLC, Anna Sommer and Chelsea Hotaling, are joining our team as a new EFG Principal and Analyst, respectively. Anna and Chelsea bring supply-side analysis and electric power system modeling to the energy efficiency, renewable energy, and strategic electrification analysis and policy expertise that EFG has become known for. Together, we have already collaborated successfully on certificate of need cases for new natural gas plants in Minnesota and Indiana. We also expect to see synergies in critiquing avoided costs for DSM and ensuring that energy efficiency, beneficial electrification, and other distributed resources are treated on a level playing field with supply-side resources in integrated resource planning.
